Sotheby’s announce a Photography sale in a few weeks time, concerning portraits of Vivien Leigh taken by Cecil Beaton. The exhibition runs from the 12th of September to the 26th, to coincide with the anniversary auction of Leigh’s belongings due to take place on the 26th. Christie’s have finally announced their upcoming Photography Auction for this autumn. Not only will the requisite Photographs auction take place, but also two other auctions from private collections: the Emily and Jerry Spiegel Collection and the Donald and Alice Lappe Collection. The dates and locations are as follows:

Today (20th July 2017) Sotheby’s New York is holding it’s first Space Exploration-themed auction, with 35 photography lots available, including Astronauts portraits, lunar landscapes and signed photographs from the Apollo program with estimates ranging from $1,000 to $125,000. Drawings, manuscripts, memorabilia and other lots are available.
