On the 5th of October 2017 Sotheby’s New York will be hosting it’s anticipated Photographs auction. Prints from some of the most important figures in photographic history will be available, including ‘New Orleans’ (Trolley) by Robert Frank and Nymphea by Eugene Atget, but perhaps one of the most fascinating lots on offer comes from one of the lesser known photographers of the 19th century: Philip Haas.

Today (20th July 2017) Sotheby’s New York is holding it’s first Space Exploration-themed auction, with 35 photography lots available, including Astronauts portraits, lunar landscapes and signed photographs from the Apollo program with estimates ranging from $1,000 to $125,000. Drawings, manuscripts, memorabilia and other lots are available.

Sotheby’s Contemporary Living Online Auction started this week, and will run until 19th July, with Prints, Photographs and Design items available. Lots include prints from Sally Mann’s Deep South series, and Hiroshi Sugimoto’s Time Exposed Portfolio, as well as work from Bruce Weber, Peter Beard, Sebastiao Salgado, Ormond Gigli (above), Nick Brandt and Diane Arbus. Estimates range from $100 to $60,000.
